menopause matters in the care sector

This October, leading workwear manufacturer alsico and Care England are coming together at the NEC alongside the Care Show to host the Menopause Matters event. This event will bring together carers and industry experts to discuss the experiences of menopause across the care sector.

The Menopause Matters event will provide carers from care home groups across the UK a platform to share their personal stories and those of their colleagues. menopause matters

why are we doing it?

Menopause is a significant health issue affecting a large proportion of the care sector’s workforce. This event will highlight the challenges faced by carers experiencing menopause and provide actionable insights to help them manage symptoms more effectively in the workplace. Together, we aim to foster an environment that provides both carers and employers with the resources they need to better understand and support their workforce.

menopause matters

what are we trying to achieve?

The event aims to amplify the voices of carers and senior leaders across the sector to share insights and shape better support structures for menopausal workers. Our goal is to provide immediate, actionable tips that attendees can apply in their workplaces, as well as gather input to drive future uniform developments that cater specifically to the needs of menopausal staff.

Following the event, key insights will be shared with decision-makers to help them address challenges within the care sector, driving better support and resources for menopausal staff.

Special Guest: Diane Danzebrink

Menopause Support is a not for profit community interest company and the home of the national #MakeMenopauseMatter campaign, both founded by  Diane Danzebrink.

Diane believes that every woman should have access to factual, evidence based, non biased information, education, advice and emotional support to empower them to take control of their health and well-being during menopause and beyond. Her own experience made her acutely aware of the need for a patient led organisation providing education, information, advice and support and it was this that prompted her to create Menopause Support.
